Fast & easy
With the FIX Strap, the securing straps are always ready for use. Up to 15 minutes can be saved on both loading and unloading, i.e. up to 30 minutes per load, since the securing straps do not need to be thrown over the cargo when it is being loaded, and they do not need to be rolled up after unloading. Thanks to the fact that the securing straps are suspended under the roof, they are kept clean and never get stuck underneath the cargo.
When the cargo is unloaded, they are automatically pulled back up to the roof. These features, in combination with our high-class manufacturing and durable materials, give FIX Strap a long lifespan compared with that of traditional securing straps. The significant time savings and long lifespan allow FIX Strap to be quickly paid for and increase the efficiency of transport operations.
Technical requirements, standards & certificates
FIX Strap is manufactured according to the EN 12195-2 standard and meets all national requirements as well as all requirements of EU legislation, for the securing of cargo. Calculations show that our cargo-securing system does an excellent job of withstanding the force that cargo is exposed to in various forms of transport and on various routes.
For a number of years, we have had our cargo-securing solutions certified for various types of cargo, and we serve our customers by performing customer-specific cargo-securing calculations . If cargo is secured the right way, it is also possible to prevent accidents. According to the European Best Practice Guidelines for Cargo Securing, approximately 25% of trucking accidents may be due to inadequate securing of cargo.
Safety
FIX Strap frees drivers from having to climb up onto the cargo they are transporting, throw securing straps over it, and roll the straps up afterwards, since the suspended securing straps are always ready for use. With these advantages, we can help our customers provide their drivers with a safer work environment and prevent accidents on the job.
FIX Strap was developed based on our patented FIX suspension system. HSE (Health and Safety Executive), the United Kingdom’s occupational safety agency, rated FIX system to the best system of all available on the market and awarded it the highest possible number of points for work safety after testing the system out in various work situations.
FIX Strap can be used for most transports, in a range of different cargo spaces.
FIX Strap consists of securing straps that are attached to bungee cords, and our patented FIX suspension system, which runs on rails at the edges of the ceiling. The securing straps slide easily into the desired position over the cargo, while the bungee cords ensure that the hooks are kept in place and the straps are tensioned. In particular, loading from the side becomes easier because the hooks in the securing straps do not come loose from their lashing rings.
The securing straps are pulled down, tensioned, with normal ratchets. In unloading, the ratchets are loosened as normally, and the securing straps are then automatically lifted up to the roof.
FIX Road consists of our patented suspension system and a durable, casafer.rgo-securing cover with sewed-in securing straps in both sides. FIX Road protects loads and holds them together under all conditions. The system makes both loading and unloading physically easier and
FIX Road can be used for most transports, both on flat beds and in covered cargo spaces. When FIX Road is installed, the cover is hung under the roof of the cargo space on rails with bungee cords. Since the cover moves on the rails, it can be quickly and easily placed over the cargo. To allow loading via the side or roof, the cover can also be pulled to one end of the cargo space.
The cover is held down tightly with securing straps and ratchets, as normally. It is pulled over the whole cargo in such a way that its tension is always distributed evenly, even when the cargo consists of separate goods of differing shape and size. When the time comes to unload, the ratchets are released and the cover is pulled to the end of the trailer.
When the cover is not being used, it is automatically pulled up to the height under the roof, and the cargo space is immediately ready for new cargo.
On flat beds, FIX Road is used without a suspension, and the cover can be lifted over the cargo with e.g. a forklift. Afterwards, it is simple to pull the cover off the cargo, pull it to the side and fold it up, so that the inside of the cover does not get dirty. FIX Road can also be used in shorter parts.
The length of the payback period is decisive for the profitability of any investment, including investment in FIX products. Our customers save a great deal of time with our products, and the FIX PayBack assessments show that investment in FIX products often involves a payback period of only a few weeks. The time saved varies according to cargo type, and according to what FIX products are used. Certain customer-specific information is also taken into consideration in the assessments.
Examples of time saved
When securing paper rolls with FIX Road one can count on saving 30-45 minutes per load, as there is no need to place edge protectors and throw securing straps over the cargo. In unloading, one saves at least 15 minutes by not having to gather up loose securing straps. Our customers confirm that the number of loads per day has increased by 25% (from 4 to 5 on certain routes, for example) and many have succeeded in cutting their cargo-securing time in half with FIX Road.
When cargo is secured using FIX Strap , one saves a great deal on both loading and unloading compared with normal securing straps. With FIX Strap, the securing straps are always ready for loading, since they are suspended on the ceiling, on rails, and ready in place above the cargo. If loading is being done through the roof, the straps can easily be pulled out of the way, to the other end of the trailer, and then pulled back when the cargo needs to be secured. The rubber-cord suspension also keeps the hooks from falling out of the loops, which saves further time for the driver. It is also possible to permanently attach the ratchets to the system, so that they are kept clean and in better condition, just like the securing straps.
The FIX Truck Safe system is entirely in its own class – the lashing happens automatically and takes between a few seconds and a minute, and the time saved allows transports to get on their way earlier. For example, the driver can take care of paperwork while the cargo is being lashed. This increases the efficiency of transports, and the profitability of transport operations overall. The number of loads per day and per vehicle can be multiplied, so that a vehicle with Truck-Safe can stand in for multiple vehicles with manual cargo securing.
